In the uncharacteristically light winter of 2012, The Kumquat was founded by a group of passionate students who weren’t satisfied with the news outlets on their campus. Intelligent, driven, and packed with knowledge from their COM107 current events quizzes, they hung a green sheet in their lounge, kidnapped a VPA film student, and in that dark winter, created what is now known as The Kumquat.

The Kumquat has been a shining light on the university ever since, bringing honor and praise to the art of broadcast journalism.
